How these numbers are made
- Water: Master Fee Schedule (Resolution 2026-018): $47.57 a month base for meters up to 1 inch plus $1.28 per 1,000 gallons for all use; the page uses the city rate study's typical single-family use of 16,000 gallons a month on a 1-inch meter or smaller.
- Trash: $40.15 refuse barrel and organics plus $3.80 recycling for 96-gallon containers; street sweeping $5.16 is a separate monthly fee on the same schedule.
- Sewer: $652.31 a year Kingsburg charge from the Selma-Kingsburg-Fowler County Sanitation District FY 2026-27 budget, entered as a yearly charge on the tax roll.
- Property tax: 1% plus Kingsburg Joint Union Elementary, Kingsburg High School and State Center CCD bond rates from the Fresno County 2026-27 rate list; the list shows no City of Kingsburg rate. Parcel-specific direct charges may exist on some bills.
- Electricity: PG&E schedule E-1 is PG&E's systemwide residential rate (the same schedule Selma's page uses), weighted over the year. Kingsburg is on PG&E's service-area lists; the Tier 1 cap assumes baseline territory R, whose map placement for Kingsburg was not confirmed.
- Value: Census median is a market value; Prop 13 assessed values of long-held homes are lower.
- Gas: the City of Kingsburg development profile names Southern California Gas Co. as the natural gas supplier. SoCalGas Schedule GR (Advice Letter 6708-G, effective Oct 10, 2026) is 138.518¢ per therm baseline, 186.202¢ non-baseline and 16.438¢ per meter per day. Gas is left off this page because the baseline allowance for Kingsburg's zone is not published in any source we could load, and a gas line without it would misstate the bill.

| Water | $817 | $927 | lower than 182 of the other 284 California cities we cover |
| Sewer and utility-bill fees | $62 | $596 | lower than 185 of the other 196 California cities we cover |

| Total | $9,981 | $14,432 | lower than 257 of the other 284 California cities we cover |
Cities bill differently (some put trash on the tax bill, some cover more services), so a higher number isn't necessarily worse. The property tax rate is compared instead of dollars because house values differ.
