How these numbers are made
- Garbage: Republic Services' 95-gallon residential rate of $51.21 a month, shown on the City's rate comparison as current on January 1, 2026; the 2025 increase to $55.04 was proposed and then rejected, and Recology replaces Republic on July 1, 2027. Republic's own schedule was not found, so a mid-2026 adjustment would not show here.
- Water: Suisun/Solano Water Authority fiscal 2026/27 rates from the 2024 notice and the January 2025 rate action: $81.09 every two months, turned into $40.545 a month, plus $3.59 per ccf; the City's own July 2025 rate sheet shows the previous year's step of the same schedule ($74.73 every two months).
- Sewer: Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District $54.91 a month from July 1, 2026, collected by the City; storm drain maintenance $20.23 a year on the property tax bill.
- Property tax: Solano County 2026-27 rates; the Suisun North Bay Aqueduct rate of 0.002130 per $100 is added for Suisun City parcels; school and college bond rates are the same funds Fairfield parcels pay in the Fairfield-Suisun district. Lighting and landscape districts and some neighborhood assessments vary by street and are not included. The county table was not tied to a specific tax rate area, so which parcels also pay the Solano County Water Agency State Water Project rate (listed under district debt) was not confirmed; some parcels may pay other district debt too.
- Electricity and gas: PG&E E-1 bundled Tier 1 and Tier 2 rates and G-1 rates; this assumes PG&E bundled service, because the City requested membership in Marin Clean Energy in 2023 but that was not confirmed for this page. If the City is in fact served by MCE, the generation part of the electric rate would be higher than shown (MCE rates were not looked up).
- Water use: the City's bills state no typical use, so the page's default of 9 ccf a month is a modelling assumption, not a sourced figure.
- Electric baseline: tier-1 limit assumes PG&E baseline territory S (15.0 kWh a day summer, 10.2 winter); the city's territory was not confirmed in the sources. Water: the 2026/27 SSWA rates are from the January 2025 table of proposed rates; the resolution's adoption of the first year's rates was seen but later years were not separately confirmed.

Cities bill differently (some put trash on the tax bill, some cover more services), so a higher number isn't necessarily worse. The property tax rate is compared instead of dollars because house values differ.
