Where referral links appear

Some home-cost pages may include a link to a company that can help with a cost shown on the page, such as home insurance quotes, electricity plans, internet service or a property-tax appeal. If you follow one and sign up or request a quote, that company may pay Veronata, Inc. a referral fee. You pay the same either way.

How they are labeled

Every referral link is marked “we may earn a fee” where it appears. Once you follow one, that company's own terms and privacy policy apply.

What they never change

• The costs on our pages come from public records. No partner can pay to change a number, a source or a ranking.
• Voter guides, candidate pages and ballot-measure pages carry no referral links and no paid placement.
• We take no money from candidates, campaigns or parties.
• We are not an insurance agency or broker and do not sell insurance or recommend a specific policy.
