How these numbers are made
- Property tax uses DuPage County 2025 final rates for tax code 3087 (Addison Township, Village, Library, Park and Fire Protection Districts, Grade School District 10, High School District 108; total 6.4815 per $100 of equalized assessed value). Code 3087 is the one the county booklet labels ITASCA; the Village spans several other tax codes, and the code with the most homes is not published.
- The starting value is one third of the Data USA median property value ($390,800 / 3), because Illinois taxes equalized assessed value (about one third of market value). The $8,000 general homestead exemption comes off that value.
- Water and sewer use the rates for usage beginning May 1, 2026 (the Village's FY 2027 schedule): water $13.32 and sewer $13.37 per 1,000 gallons, plus the monthly Operation and Maintenance Fees of $16.41 (water) and $19.64 (sewer) for a pipe up to 1 inch. Itasca bills monthly. The default use is 4,000 gallons a month, the home used in the Village's 2024 rate study comparison.
- Trash is collected by Republic Services under a Village contract that bills the Village, so no resident trash charge is counted; the Village's sources do not show a separate resident charge.
- Electricity and gas follow the same ComEd and Nicor method as nearby DuPage towns: ComEd single family without electric space heat (delivery charges, the October 2026 price to compare, and the state distribution tax) plus the ComEd franchise cost surcharge for Itasca (0.992%, June 2026 to May 2027); Nicor Rate 1 plus the October 2026 gas cost. Typical use is the EIA residential average. Homeowners insurance is not included (no official premium survey found).
