How these numbers are made
- Property tax uses the 2025 net mill rate of 0.012218 for the Village of Rib Mountain in the Wausau School District from Marathon County's rate table, on the Census median home value of $255,900 (a market value; assessed values may differ). The lottery and first dollar credits are the county's 2025 maximums for the Wausau district and come off the bill.
- Water: $30.00 quarterly base for a 5/8 or 3/4 inch meter plus the $7.55 per quarter public fire protection line the utility says an average customer now pays on the water bill, divided by 3, plus $2.27 per 1,000 gallons. Sewer: $38.02 quarterly divided by 3 plus $3.48 per 1,000 gallons of metered water. Rates are those in effect from December 1, 2025.
- Garbage and recycling: the village lists a 45-gallon bin at $182.00 and a 90-gallon bin at $187.00; the page does not state the billing period, so the model treats it as a yearly charge divided by 12 (same as the neighbouring village of Weston's yearly fee).
- Electric adds the Rg-1 energy charge of $0.14802 and the fuel adjustment of $0.00107 per kWh; the daily customer charge of $0.58915 is annualised. Typical use of 595 kWh a month is EIA's 2024 Wisconsin Public Service residential average. Gas is the residential firm rate of $0.4433 per therm plus $17 a month.
- No separate stormwater or sanitary-district charge was found on the village's pages.
