How these numbers are made
- Property tax uses Brown County's 2025 tax rate table for the Village of Ashwaubenon in the Ashwaubenon School District: village $5.03 per $1,000, school $7.35 less the state school credit $1.19 (folded into the school rate), county $3.02 and NWTC $0.58, on the village's median assessed home value of $247,300 (the village's assessment ratio is 90.91%). Part of the village is in the West De Pere school district. The lottery and first dollar credits on the county table are not counted.
- Water is billed quarterly: the $25.55 5/8-inch meter charge plus $9.98 public fire protection, divided by three, with $5.28 per 1,000 gallons (effective May 19, 2026). Sewer is $28.84 a quarter divided by three plus $7.94 per 1,000 gallons. Storm water is the $82.50 annual rate ($20.63 per quarter) for one equivalent runoff unit divided by 12 and is billed on a separate utility bill.
- Typical water use is the approximately 15,000 gallons a quarter (5,000 a month, 6.684 ccf at 748 gallons per ccf) that the utility's rates page lists for the average residential customer.
- Electricity and gas are WPS year-round residential rates (customer charge $0.58915 a day; energy $0.14802 plus fuel $0.00107 per kWh; gas $17 a month plus $0.4433 per therm). Typical electric use is WPS's 2024 residential sales per customer from EIA.
- No trash fee is counted: the village budget shows garbage and recycling collection paid by the property tax.
