How these numbers are made
- Property tax uses the 2025 taxes of the City of Evansville from the Wisconsin DOR Statement of Taxes divided by the city's 742,283,800 full value excluding tax-increment districts: city 0.6382%, Rock County 0.3814%, Blackhawk Technical College 0.0700% and School District of Evansville Community 0.7824% less the $1,120,279 school levy credit shared over the same value (0.6314%).
- Rates apply to full (equalized) value, so the Census median market value is the starting value; assessed values differ. Lottery and gaming and first dollar credits are not subtracted.
- Water is the monthly 5/8 inch service charge $12.36 plus public fire protection $9.87, with volume tiers per 100 cubic feet (1,300 and 33,300 cubic feet a month). Sewer is $15.00 plus $7.20 per 100 cubic feet (the 2022 and later rates in Resolution 2017-26).
- Stormwater is the 2026 user charge of $11.58 per ERU per month from Table 18 of Resolution 2024-06 (a scanned image; $10.07 in 2025, $13.32 in 2027). One ERU (3,000 sq ft of impervious area) is billed to each single-family home per the city's Stormwater Credit Manual. Trash and recycling is paid through the city budget, so it is not a separate bill.
- Electric uses Rg-1 ($11.00 plus $0.1308 per kWh); the monthly power cost adjustment varies and is not included. Gas uses We Energies Rg-1: $0.33 a day plus $0.4491 distribution and $0.4812 base gas per therm, excluding the monthly PGA.
