How these numbers are made
  • Property tax: St. Louis County 2025 Rate Book residential rates per $100 for tax code 110WE (Wildwood, Rockwood school district, Metro West fire district, MSD extension). Wildwood levies no city property tax. Other Wildwood codes differ: Monarch fire district (110WA-WC) is about 6.77 per $100 with no MSD levy, and some areas are in the Eureka fire district. Applied to 19% of the Census median home value.
  • Water: Missouri American Water St. Louis County rates ($11.00 monthly charge and $10.3749 per 1,000 gallons, which include its infrastructure surcharge); typical use is the company's 6,100 gallons a month. Wildwood Code 640.020 puts a 5% gross receipts tax on water service, so the 5% is applied to the water bill too.
  • Sewer: MSD base charge $34.85 plus $7.15 per CCF of winter-quarter water use. Homes outside MSD's sewer area use septic systems and pay neither the MSD levy nor the MSD bill.
  • Electricity: Ameren Missouri 1(M) energy charges averaged over 12 months (summer 15.60¢ for 4 months; winter 10.62¢ first 750 kWh / 7.14¢ over, 8 months), plus riders: FAC 0.445¢, EEIC 0.1905¢ (Feb 2026-Jan 2027) and RESRAM 0.207¢ (Feb 2026-Jan 2027), plus $9.00 customer charge and $0.19 low-income pilot charge. Gas: Spire East delivery 0.50550 winter / 0.48671 summer per Ccf (averaged 0.496105) plus total PGA 0.61674 per Ccf (Nov 26, 2025) = 1.1128 per Ccf, and $22.00 customer charge plus $2.11 ISRS monthly. WNAR weather adjustments are not included. Wildwood's tax is 5% on electricity and water and 4.8286% on gas (Code 640.020); 5% is applied to all as an approximation for gas.
  • Trash: Republic Services (urban and subdivision areas) $35.92 a month for trash and recycling (city page, rates update annually, effective-date year not stated); Gateway Disposal (large-lot and rural areas) charges $46.98 a month. Optional yard waste is not included.
