How these numbers are made
  • Property tax: City levy $1.0906 per $100 (2026 ordinance 6397), Clinton County levies and Cameron R-I operating $3.2742 plus debt service $0.9900 from the State Auditor's 2025 Property Tax Rates report, each times 19% assessed ratio, applied to the Census median market value. Part of Cameron lies in DeKalb and Caldwell counties with different county levies. Road, fire and ambulance district levies were not included because the sources do not show they apply inside city limits. The state blind-pension levy is not included.

  • Electric: $0.129 per kWh from ordinance 6398 effective Oct 1, 2026. The ordinance states a $22.00 minimum monthly bill; it is used as the monthly charge. The power cost adjustment is not published as a per-kWh figure and is not included.
  • Gas: Spire West $22 customer charge; winter/summer averaged delivery charge plus the $0.67976 PGA, ccf converted to therms. No city tax on energy bills was found.
