How these numbers are made
  • Property tax: levies per $100 of assessed value x 19% of the Census median market value ($573,500). City 0.4403 (city 2026 levy page), county road and bridge 0.3466 (2026 commission order); Park Hill R-5 5.7955 (0.8601 debt service + 4.9354 operating, 2025 Auditor table); other county funds, Parkville Special Road District 0.2317, Southern Platte Ambulance District 0.1033, Southern Platte Fire 0.8281 (0.8048 + 0.0233) and Metropolitan Community College 0.1767 are the 2025 certified rates (Missouri State Auditor); the state blind pension rate is the 2024 figure. The 2026-27 Park Hill rate was not found online.
  • Part of Parkville is in other school districts. The EDC 2024 Parkville / Park Hill R-5 levy list includes the Parkville Special Road District and the Southern Platte County Ambulance District, so both are modelled.
  • Water: Missouri American Water Platte County, 5/8-inch meter $11.00 plus $11.2023 base and $0.8042 WSIRA per 1,000 gallons. CPWSD #1 serves some addresses and is not modelled. Missouri American Water filed a rate case (WR-2026-0304) on 2026-07-01 that would raise rates if approved; the current tariff rates are used.
  • Sewer: City of Parkville system base $20.87 plus $9.87 per 1,000 gallons of winter-average use (PCRSD).
  • Electric: Evergy Missouri Metro Standard Tier, summer 4 and winter 8 months weighted into one set of tier rates; the figure is before the fuel adjustment and other riders. Spire gas is not modelled. Trash is privately arranged and excluded.
  • Electric: Evergy Metro Schedule R, winter/summer blended (summer June–September).
