How these numbers are made
- Water: Public Water Supply District #2 of St. Charles County, bills issued on or after June 1, 2026: $23.77 per month plus $7.46 per 1,000 gallons. The page starts at the 4,800 gallons a month that the district's own sample bill uses as average winter use.
- Sewer: the district's Rate Code A (Lake St. Louis) from June 1, 2026: $3.50 per month plus $11.21 per 1,000 gallons, billed on winter water use; the page applies it to the water use you set (starting at the district's 4,800-gallon sample). Addresses on Duckett Creek Sewer District ($26.75 per month) or City of Wentzville sewer pay differently.
- Property tax: St. Charles County 2025 combination tax chart, Wentzville R-IV school code 15 (Lake St. Louis Fire District #15), city rate 0.3910 per $100 (real estate only), on 19% of the Census median home value. Some homes are in the Fort Zumwalt R2 code 15 area (school rate 4.1262) instead. The $8 water line and $20 sewer lateral assessments are added.
- Electricity and gas: Ameren Missouri 1(M) and Spire East rates as in nearby St. Peters; the city's 5% gross receipts license tax on electricity and gas businesses (Chapter 625) is applied; the fuel adjustment (Rider FAC) is included; the energy-efficiency and renewable-standard riders are not. Ameren has asked regulators (case ER-2026-0291) for an increase that has not taken effect. Gas: the $1.0731 per Ccf is the average of Spire's winter and summer delivery charges ($0.5055 and $0.48671) plus the $0.61674 purchased-gas adjustment (Residential General, $0.59497 + $0.02177) on the same Oct. 2026 schedule, divided by 1.037.
- Trash: the city's monthly rate of $24.51 (billed $73.53 quarterly), rates effective Jan. 30, 2026 to Jan. 29, 2027.
- Electric rates include the Rider FAC of $0.00445/kWh (secondary service, Oct 2026-Jan 2027) per Ameren Rider FAC sheet.
- Insurance: the newest Missouri DCI statewide figure we could read is the 2022 average ($1,678, all policy limits); the department's later report could not be loaded, so premiums now are probably higher.
