Good Life District and the Woodsonia agreement

Where it standsOn Sept. 8, 2026 the council approved a Good Life District Agreement with Woodsonia GI GLD, LLC (8-1, one abstention); several steps listed in the agreement are still in process.

What's on the tableThe next council will take up the remaining steps, including the redevelopment/TIF financing agreement, zoning and preliminary plat approvals, and the land sale.

Property taxes and the city budget

Where it standsOn Sept. 8, 2026 the council approved the FY2026-27 property tax request, which lets the levy rate fall as valuations rose 6.0 percent.

Water and sewer rates

Where it standsOn June 9, 2026 the council gave final approval (7-2) to water rate increases of 8.0 percent in each of FY2027, FY2028 and FY2029 and 5.0 percent in FY2030.
