Nicholasville property tax: where it goes

A Nicholasville house pays 1.223% of its taxable value in property tax. For a house at $226,800 of market value, that's about $2,774 a year.

The state (10.3 cents), Jessamine County Schools (66.5 cents) and City of Nicholasville (18.6 cents) rates are the 2026 rates. We did not find the 2026 rates for the Jessamine County Fiscal Court, library, health and extension districts, so their 2025 rates from the Kentucky Department of Revenue rate book (26.9 cents together) are used.
