Two council contests are on the ballot: Seat 3, a special election for a two-year term filled by a resident of the Southern residential area, and the at-large Seat 4. The mayor was elected without opposition and is not on the ballot.

Where it standsThe council voted 4-1 in July 2026 on the proposed FY2026-27 millage rate, and Florida's Amendment 3 on the Nov. 3 ballot would expand homestead exemptions.
