Rancho Palos Verdes trash pickup: cost and carts

Monthly single-family rate for one trash cart, after the City's recycling rebate (EDCO Service Area 1, July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027). Recycling carts are free and up to two green waste carts carry no charge. Service Area 2 (the former Universal Waste System area) pays slightly more ($30.90, $40.15 or $49.36).

The City sends cart requests to EDCO's Rancho Palos Verdes site (rancho-palos-verdes.edcodisposal.com); EDCO customer service is (310) 540-2977.
Ways to pay less
- Seniors 65+: 10% off EDCO trash. Senior citizens 65 and older are eligible for a 10% discount on EDCO trash service in Rancho Palos Verdes. How: Get the application at City Hall, the RPV and EDCO websites or PV Seniors, or call EDCO at 310-540-2977.
- Low income: 5% off EDCO trash. EDCO gives a 5% low income discount; an application is required and you must meet CA PUC criteria. How: EDCO Customer Service: 310-540-2977 or www.rpvrecycles.com.
- Prepay trash for the year: 5% off. EDCO offers a 5% annual pre-pay discount on single-family trash service. How: EDCO Customer Service: 310-540-2977 or www.rpvrecycles.com.
