Each rate is WM's 2026 standard weekly residential service; the 64- and 96-gallon landfill carts cost the same. Recycling and organics carts come with the service.
Changing your cart
To request a 64- or 96-gallon landfill cart (for an additional charge) or a cart exchange, contact Waste Management at (760) 439-2824.
Ways to pay less
- Free large item pickup, five times a year. Up to five large items such as furniture, appliances and electronic waste can be collected five times each year. How: Call WM at (760) 439-2824 and request a Large Item Landfill Pickup.
- Seniors and disabled residents: free cart walk-out service. The City of Oceanside and WM offer free cart walk-out assistance for qualifying senior and disabled residents. How: Download the application form from WM's Oceanside page.
