Davis property tax: where it goes

A Davis house at the typical market value ($866,100) pays about $10,130 a year on the property tax bill, including flat charges on the same bill. Estimated from public rates, not anyone's actual bill.

A Davis house pays 1.06% of its taxable value in property tax, plus flat charges on the same bill. For a house at $866,100 of market value with the homeowners' exemption, that's about $10,126 a year.

Tax is levied on assessed value set by the Yolo County Assessor; the general levy is limited to 1% of that value.

Yolo County's 2026-27 rate schedule was not yet published; this is the 2025-26 schedule attached to the Board of Supervisors' August 26, 2025 tax rate item, where it is labelled proposed. Measure N and park tax amounts are the latest published (2024-25).
