Ways to pay less
- Curbside pickup for TVs, electronics and appliances. AmeriWaste runs four curbside pickup events a year for televisions, electronics, microwaves and appliances, plus two household hazardous waste drop-off events at Hometown Heroes Park. How: Residential customers must call AmeriWaste at 281-585-3200 in the sign-up window to get on the pickup list.
- Heavy trash: two items per collection day. You may place up to two heavy trash items, such as furniture, washing machines or stoves, at the curb per collection day. How: Set heavy trash out by 7 a.m. on your collection day, but no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before.
