Ways to pay less
- Curbside bulky waste day each June. Milwaukie's garbage haulers pick up large items (furniture, mattresses, tires, metal) at the curb on the second or third Saturday of June, depending on your address. Single-family residents with current garbage service inside city limits can take part; items must not exceed the equivalent of five garbage bags or one couch. How: Set items out by 4 a.m. where your carts go; no need to call ahead. Ask your hauler about eligible items.
