Xcel Energy Minnesota residential customers paid an average of 16.98¢ per kWh in 2024 (EIA: residential revenue divided by kWh sold); the standard residential basic service charge is $6.00 a month. Chanhassen is on Xcel's list of Minnesota communities it serves with electricity; the city says two electric companies serve Chanhassen, Xcel Energy and Minnesota Valley Electric Co-op.
