Ways to pay less
- Seniors 65+: 10% off water and sewer. GMWSS customers 65 or older get 10% off the water and sanitary sewer portions of the bill at their primary residence. It does not apply to the garbage fee, the 911 fee, late fees or taxes. How: Show proof of age and residence to GMWSS Customer Service.
- Leak or pool-fill bill adjustment. GMWSS will adjust your bill after a water line break once it is fixed and you can show proof of the repair, such as a plumber's statement: one leak adjustment a year and two in five years, and none for toilet leaks. Filling a pool or watering new landscaping: GMWSS adjusts the sewer portion to your average sewer usage for one month. How: Use GMWSS's residential leak adjustment form or call (502) 863-7816.
