Temple Terrace property tax: where it goes

A Temple Terrace house pays 1.942% of its taxable value in property tax. For a house at $334,800 of market value with the homestead exemption, that's about $5,672 a year.

Tax is levied on taxable value: the assessed value less all applicable exemptions, the value to which millages are applied, at $1 per $1,000 of taxable value for each mill; after a homestead's first exempt year, any annual increase in its assessed value is capped at the lower of 3% or the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index, with certain exceptions.
