- Hialeah's fiscal year 2027 budget reflects the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department's wholesale water rate ($2.5089 per 1,000 gallons from October 1, 2026) and includes a fund for the city's Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant.
- Lead
- No lead service lines have been identified within the City's public water distribution system, based on the records reviewed and field investigations completed to date (July 2026 report).

Ways to pay less
- Filled a pool? Ask for the pool credit. Hialeah gives a courtesy pool credit: a once-a-year refund of all sewer-related charges and fees based on the water it took to fill the pool (minimum 3,500 gallons). The account must be in good standing. How: The account holder sends a letter with the pool details (shape, measurements, gallons, fill date) and a photo of the filled pool, by email to Customer Service or in person at 3700 W 4th Avenue; someone else can submit it with the account holder's signed letter. The department then verifies the pool at the property.
