Scottsdale electricity and gas rates
Who supplies power and gas to Scottsdale houses and what a typical house uses: about 1000 kWh of electricity and 24 therms of gas a month. The city adds a 1.7% utility users tax.
Electricity: APS (Arizona Public Service)
Scottsdale's General Plan electrical services map shows areas served by APS and areas served by SRP, so some homes are served by SRP rather than APS. These figures use APS rate schedule R-1 Fixed Energy Charge Plan, large tier (average use of 1,000 kWh or more a month): a basic service charge and an energy charge, with no time-of-use, seasonal or demand charges, plus APS's adjustment charges.
| Charge | Price |
|---|---|
| Fixed charge | $16.42 a month |
| Per kWh | 18.12¢ |
Gas: Southwest Gas
Southwest Gas G-5 single-family residential gas service: $10.70 basic service charge per month plus a commodity charge per therm for all usage.
| Charge | Price |
|---|---|
| Fixed charge | $10.70 a month |
| Per therm | $1.5904 |
