Pflugerville trash pickup: cost and carts
Waste Connections (City of Pflugerville contract). Billed by: City of Pflugerville monthly utility statement; the in-city residential curbside rate is $22.37 a month.
| Cart | A month | A year |
|---|---|---|
| 96-gallon | $22.37 | $268 |
Each home gets a 96-gallon trash cart picked up weekly and a 96-gallon recycling cart picked up every other week, plus weekly brush and bulk pickup (up to six items). Extra carts cost $7.44 (trash) or $4.34 (recycling) a month.
Ways to pay less
- Free drop-off at the city Recycle Center. Residents can drop off appliances, scrap metal, cardboard, paper, aluminum and more at no charge; refrigerators cost $45. How: Drop the items off at the Recycle Center, which the city runs as a place for residents to drop off recyclables.
- Weekly brush and bulk pickup. Brush and bulk items are collected once a week on the same day as trash and recycling: up to six items next to the cart, each bulk item under 2 cubic yards and 40 pounds. How: Place up to six items next to your trash cart.
- Seniors or disabled residents: cart pickup at the house. If everyone in the home is disabled, or cannot safely move the carts to the curb because of age or physical limits, and the City Manager approves, Waste Connections collects the carts at the side yard or garage door and puts them back. How: The City Manager decides which households qualify and tells Waste Connections in writing.
