Sewer

Wastewater inside the city limits with City of Denton water service: $16.39 facility charge per bill plus $5.66 per 1,000 gallons effluent. The volume is based on your winter average daily water use from the December through February billing months, and billed volumes are capped at 18,000 gallons a bill.

Ways to pay less

• WaterWise irrigation rebates. Denton Water customers can get a free irrigation evaluation, a smart irrigation controller rebate of 100% up to $300 and a $100 sprinkler tune-up rebate. How: Check eligibility in the WaterWise Program Manual on the City of Denton rebates page.
• Leak adjustment on a high water bill. If a broken pipe or fixture spikes your bill at least 50% above normal, the city can credit back 50% of the extra usage (up to 100,000 gallons) for up to two months, once every 12 months. How: Fix the leak within 30 days and apply within 60 days of finding it with the Water Leak Adjustment Request Form.
