Red Bank's Solid Waste User Fee is $294.60 a year ($24.55 a month) from September 1, 2026, billed on your property tax bill. There is no curbside recycling.

Changing your cart

Homes without a City blue can, or needing an additional one, buy it at City Hall; the City fee schedule lists $75.00 for an additional can. There is no curbside recycling; the Recycling Center is at the north end of Red Bank.

Ways to pay less

• Free walk-up garbage service. Red Bank picks up garbage at the house, free, for residents who are handicapped, have severe disabilities or medical conditions, or are of advanced age. Garbage must be bagged; the service is reviewed every year. How: Apply through the City's walk-up garbage service page; an in-person or phone interview is required.
• Bulk trash and brush pickup. Red Bank picks up bulk items that don't fit in the blue can and brush, up to 3 pickups of each per calendar year. How: Submit a work order through the City's Citizen Portal.
• Recycling Center on Dayton Blvd. There is no curbside recycling. The Hamilton County Recycle Center at 4851 Dayton Blvd is open to all Red Bank residents, Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 8am-4pm. How: Recycle Center phone: (423) 876-2010.
