- Ten wells draw from the Memphis Sands, about 350 feet deep, and pump to one of four water treatment plants.
- Lead
- In 2023 sampling, 1 of 30 households exceeded the lead action level; the sample was found to be improperly taken, and re-sampling was below detectable levels. The Town has not identified any known lead service lines.
- PFAS
- UCMR 5 testing (September 2023) found perfluorohexanesulfonic acid (PFHxS) at an average of 0.002 ug/L (range 0.0009-0.0030).
- Fluoride
- Fluoride averaged 0.838 ppm (range 0.699-0.994) in October 2025, below the 4 ppm limit.
Sewer
Inside city: a sewer customer service charge and a 3/4" base rate charge each month, plus a sewer volume charge per 1,000 gallons of water used, with a 20,000-gallon cap for residential customers.

Ways to pay less
- Bulk items and appliances picked up at the curb. Bulk items such as furniture, boxes, dishwashers, mattresses and clean-outs are collected on your regular weekly collection day. Appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, dryers and washing machines are picked up on a call-in basis each Thursday.
