- 16 groundwater wells extend 110 feet into the Biscayne Aquifer; the East and Central Water Treatment Plants treat the water with membrane softening.
- Lead
- July 2025 tap sampling: 90th percentile lead 1.0 ppb against a 15 ppb action level, with no sites over it. The city found no lead or galvanized-requiring-replacement service lines.
- PFAS
- UCMR 5 sampling in 2024: all PFAS compounds and lithium tested at the points of entry were below the minimum reporting limit.
- Fluoride
- The city stopped adding fluoride on July 1, 2025.

Ways to pay less
- One leak credit a year on your water bill. The City of Plantation offers one courtesy leak credit per year: water use must exceed 2.5 times the account average or surpass the 3rd tier. The credit is partial and you must be enrolled in EyeOnWater. How: Enroll at eyeonwater.com/signup, then submit the city's Leak Credit Request.
- Pool fill sewer credit. The city offers one courtesy sewer credit per year for filling a swimming pool, for properties on the City of Plantation sewer system. How: Enroll in EyeOnWater and submit the Swimming Pool Fill Sewer Credit Application.
