Town of Erie
2026 single-family rates under Ordinance 042-2024, passed by the Town Council on December 10, 2024. The Town bills water monthly: a service charge by meter size plus a tiered charge per 1,000 gallons used.

- The primary source is the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, delivered by pipeline from Carter Lake in Berthoud to the Town's Water Treatment Facility in Erie.

- The 90th-percentile lead result in June to August 2025 sampling was 0.0026 ppm (action level 0.015 ppm), with no sample sites above the action level.
- Disinfection byproducts
- Total trihalomethanes averaged 49.44 ppb in 2025 (limit 80 ppb).
Sewer
The Town of Erie bills wastewater on the monthly utility bill: a $10.30 service charge plus $9.45 per 1,000 gallons for single-family homes. The volume charge uses your average December to February water use, rounded to the nearest 1,000 gallons, for the following 12 months (March through February).

Ways to pay less
- Water-saving rebates: $100 per toilet, $100 smart irrigation controller. Town of Erie utility customers can get $100 per WaterSense high-efficiency toilet (limit 2; it must replace an existing toilet, and the old toilet must be recycled with proof) and $100 for a WaterSense smart irrigation controller, for purchases in 2026. How: Submit the online rebate application with your utility account number and receipts; questions to rebates@erieco.gov.
- Energy rebates for Town utility customers: $400 cold-climate heat pump, $200 heat pump water heater. Town of Erie utility customers can get rebates in 2026 such as $400 for a cold-climate air source heat pump, $200 for a heat pump water heater and $500 for PV solar; funds are limited and available first come, first served. How: Purchase and install the qualified equipment, then complete the Town's rebate application.
