The price is set by the size of your garbage cart and includes an organics cart and a recycling split cart. Homes on the hill rate pay more (32 gallons: $63.74 a month). These are the 2025 rates; Marin Sanitary Service applied for increases of about 3.6% to 4% from January 1, 2026.

- Households eligible for PG&E CARE: lower garbage rate. Marin Sanitary Service's low-income rate in Larkspur is $47.34 a month for a 32-gallon cart instead of $59.17, for households that meet PG&E CARE eligibility requirements (2025 rates).
