Ways to pay less
- Seniors 60+: senior trash rate. Burrtec's senior residential rate is $30.10 a month, against $37.63 for standard service (a 20% discount). You must be 60 or older, the head of household, a homeowner living at the property, and the solid waste account must be in your name. How: Fill out Burrtec's senior citizen discount application (Burrtec, 909-987-3717) and attach a copy of your driver's license or ID card.
- Free bulky item pickups. Residents can request up to three free curbside collections of large or bulky items in a 12-month period, up to five items per collection, including electronic waste. How: Call Burrtec's Customer Service Department (Burrtec Customer Service: (909) 822-9739) one week before your scheduled collection day.
