Danville trash pickup: cost and carts
Republic Services (RecycleSmart franchise). Billed by: Republic Services bills Danville residents quarterly (February, May, August and November); the monthly rate is set by the size of the landfill cart and includes weekly recycling and organics collection.

The price is set by the size of your landfill (garbage) cart; weekly recycling and organics collection are included. 32 gallons is the standard cart.
Changing your cart
Republic Services handles all service requests (925-685-4711). If you do not regularly fill your landfill cart you can downsize, for example from the standard 32-gallon cart to a 20-gallon cart.
Ways to pay less
- Free extra pickups and Reuse & Clean-up Days. The residential rate includes 4 on-call collections of yard trimmings and/or recyclables and 1 on-call landfill collection per rate year at no additional cost, plus two pre-scheduled Reuse and Clean-up Days a year. How: Call Republic Services at 925-685-4711 to schedule an on-call pickup; look up your Reuse Day dates at recyclesmart.org/cleanup.
