Sewer
EVMWD bills a fixed wastewater charge per 30-day billing period plus a per-person charge, and Canyon Lake single-family homes pay a $12 surcharge in a 30 day period.
Ways to pay less
- Water and sewer tax refund claim. A court found Canyon Lake's tax on EVMWD and EMWD water and sewer customers unconstitutional; customers who paid it from Sept 7, 2023 to May 29, 2025 can claim a refund, with a default of $4.00 per month.
