Ways to pay less

  • Keep January to March water use low, and ask for a sewer review after a leak. Phoenix sets your monthly sewer charge from your water use in the January, February and March billing cycles, so using less water then lowers your sewer bill for the year. If a leak raised your use in those months, the city can adjust the sewer fee. How: Submit a Sewer Fee Review online or download the form from the city's water and sewer rates page.
  • Income at or below 200% of poverty: Project Assist. Project Assist helps people who are having trouble paying for City of Phoenix water, sewer or solid waste services. Customers must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty income level to apply. How: Project Assist is administered by the City of Phoenix Human Services Department.
