Hello, I am Russell Wilson I am running for city council and would appreciate your vote on November 3rd
How should Pioneer Village fix and pay for drainage problems?
Their pick: Seek state and federal grants first
If no grants are approved then money should come from the city budget.
What should the city do next with the Walk Park?
Their pick: Keep expanding the Walk Park
I believe that the walk park could and should be much more.
How should the city handle street paving when the county falls behind?
Their pick: Yes, pave with city money
I am all for fixing our streets. The city has a list of all the streets and when they were last paved. I would keep the sme schedule as is. If one of the roads become a hazard they could be moved to the top of the list. I know each part of our little city has high traffic roads that may need fixing. Pot holes are fixed in the spring if they get reported.
How should the city handle requests to rezone land for new housing?
Their pick: Decide each request case by case
Open minds help move our city forward. Depending on the zoning request and proposal set forth each ask must be looked at separately.
What kind of development, if any, do you want along John Harper Highway?
Their pick: Yes, bring businesses to John Harper Highway
Right now the city only have a few businesses. New development will help fund the city budget.
Should Pioneer Village be open to a data center, and on what terms?
Their pick: Only after careful study and strict limits
What should the city's priorities be for its police department?
Their pick: Yes, keep investing in the police
