SCE Domestic rate with SCE generation, from the SCE and OCPA joint rate comparison: $0.38865 per kWh in total (generation $0.11761 + delivery $0.27104), an average monthly bill of $203.26 at 523 kWh; SCE rates as of June 1, 2026. SCE's Base Services Charge is $24.15 a month for customers not enrolled in CARE, FERA or qualifying deed-restricted affordable housing; it is $6.00 for CARE-enrolled customers and $12.08 for FERA-enrolled customers and those in qualifying deed-restricted affordable housing. The Domestic Multifamily Accommodation rate (Schedule DM) is exempt from the Base Services Charge; these customers continue to pay the Basic Charge.

Gas: SoCalGas
SoCalGas's August 2026 average non-CARE residential bill was $68.91 a month, based on a typical 35 therms; its bundled residential average rate (gas transportation, Public Purpose Program surcharge and gas commodity) fell from $2.09 to $2.00 per therm in August, and commodity rates change monthly. SoCalGas's non-CARE residential fixed charge was $0.16 per day as of September 2025.

Ways to pay less
- CARE or FERA customers: lower SCE base charge. SCE's Base Services Charge is $6.00 a month for customers enrolled in the income-qualified CARE program and $12.08 for FERA-enrolled customers, instead of $24.15. How: Enrollment is through SCE income-qualified programs such as CARE and FERA.
