Ways to pay less

• Free bulky item pickup. Cathedral City's Burrtec service includes the Bulky Large Item Collection Program, up to four items per week, at no additional cost. How: Included with Burrtec's Cathedral City service; Burrtec Customer Service: 760-340-2113.
• Disabled residents: free walk-in collection. Any disabled person who meets the DMV requirements for an N-1 permanent disabled placard is entitled to walk-in backyard or side yard collection of trash, recyclables and green waste at no charge.
