I raised my kids here, served as your Chief of Police and spent two terms as City Commissioner as well as two three year enlistment,s in the U.S. Army Engineer's. I obtained a Master’s in Public Administration fron Northern Kentucky University which is Nationally Accredited. The best training for running public government. So, when folks ask why I'm jumping back into the ring, the short answer is simple: I still care too much to sit on the sidelines while the city I love decides its next chapter. We need to work with our downtown businesses to create more customers to keep thriving. We start by having activities in the streets to draw people. We'll look at what is working in other Cities in Northern Kentucky to help with this. We work on parking by going back to coin meters to keep parking turnover. The apps for parking are not all handicapped accessible. This is greatly prejudice against the handicapped and prevents them from shopping downtown. Not every one has or can afford a cellphone. Make better use of City personal by having them create adds on our businesses (highlighting) for the internet to create more interest in shopping downtown. Nothing is more important than a thriving business center. After all their payroll taxes are the largest income part of our budget. The businesses on Monmouth feel like the City no longer cares about them. We need to change that. Their hours of operation are diminished due to lack of business.

Their pick: Invest more city money in parks
Parks should be planned for throughout the general fund. If a large capital improvement is required, general obligation bonds could be utilized and outside back through the general fund. In some instances, grants through the State and other sources are available for such improvements.
